PsychologyOrbit is not an emergency service
Nobody here is monitoring for people in danger, and nobody here is your clinician.
If you or someone else is at immediate risk, contact your local emergency number
now.
If you are in crisis
This page lists national crisis lines where we have been able to record one. Where a country is missing a number, it is because we have not confirmed it, not because none exists — the independent directory at findahelpline.com covers more countries and services.
What to do right now
- If someone is in immediate physical danger, call your local emergency number. That is faster and more useful than anything online.
- If you are having thoughts of ending your life, tell one person you trust today. Not eventually, today. It does not have to be the right person or a professional.
- If you are supporting someone else, ask directly and plainly whether they are thinking about suicide. Asking does not plant the idea, and the evidence on that is clear and long-standing.
- Do not wait for an appointment if the risk is now. Emergency services and crisis lines exist for exactly this and you are not wasting their time.
By country
A wrong crisis number is worse than no crisis number, so blanks stay blank here rather than being filled with a plausible guess. If you can supply a verified line with a source, send it.
