About
Psychology deserves better infrastructure than a category tag.
Psychologists are spread across platforms that were built for other people. A general research repository does not know what a preregistered replication is. A general professional network cannot tell a licensed clinical psychologist from someone who bought a certificate. A general forum has no rule about client confidentiality, because it never needed one.
PsychologyOrbit is what those become when one field is the whole product.
What it is
A professional identity you keep
One profile from your first undergraduate seminar to your last supervision. You add your degree when it is awarded, your registration when you get it, your publications as they appear. The URL never changes and you never start again.
A place to put research
Articles, preprints, theses, dissertations, posters, datasets, proposals and replications, each with a citable ID and a permanent address. Free to publish, free to read, free to download.
Discussion with rules that fit the field
Subject communities with real moderation, and an absolute rule against any information that could identify a client. That rule is enforced in members-only spaces and in private messages too.
What it deliberately is not
Where it is today
These are live counts from the database, updated as you read them. They are not projections and they are not rounded up.
A new platform that advertises ten thousand members on its first day is lying, and the people this is built for are professionally trained to notice. So the numbers stay honest even while they are small.
How it is paid for
Individual membership is free and stays free. That includes publishing research, verification, messaging and communities.
The intended revenue is institutional: department and organisation subscriptions, job listings, and eventually a professional services marketplace with a commission. Advertising is not on that list, because an advertising business model on a mental-health-adjacent platform points every incentive the wrong way.
