Accessibility

This site aims at WCAG 2.2 Level AA. Here is what is already true, what is not yet, and how to tell us about a barrier. A platform used by people with vestibular conditions and by clinicians who work with disability cannot treat this as a formality.

What is done

  • Every text and background pair on the site is measured against its real backdrop and meets at least 4.5 to 1, with large display text at 3 to 1. Both themes are measured, not just the default one.
  • prefers-reduced-motion removes every animation, including the rotating homepage mark and the counting statistics.
  • Every page works with JavaScript disabled. Forms submit, links navigate, and content renders.
  • Keyboard focus is always visible, and a skip link is the first focusable element on every page.
  • No emoji is used as an interface icon, because screen readers announce them in ways that make the interface confusing.
  • No colour is the only carrier of meaning; verification badges spell out the tier as text.

What is not done yet

  • The site has not had a formal audit by an accessibility specialist.
  • It has not been tested end to end with JAWS or NVDA.
  • Some complex data tables do not yet have full row and column header associations.

Reporting a barrier

  • Use the contact form and choose "Something is broken", or email us. Tell us the page, what you were using, and what happened.
  • Accessibility reports are treated as bugs, not as feature requests.
Questions about this page? Contact us. These policies are written to be read, not to be impressive. If something here is unclear, that is a defect and we want to know.
