PCL-5 post-traumatic stress checklist

This one is different from the others. It asks you to keep your worst experience in mind and answer twenty questions about it.

  • Reading the questions can be upsetting by itself, even if you do not finish them.
  • It cannot tell you whether you have PTSD. The result is a total and where it falls against one published cut-off, nothing more.
  • The Veterans Affairs National Center for PTSD, who wrote it, says interpretation should be made by a clinician.
  • Nothing you answer is stored, sent anywhere or logged, here or on any other self-check.
